A Word about our Web Site
Whenever people ask me how they can stay in touch with the Club and find out what sort of events we have coming up, I always give them the same answer: check our Web site at UMSeattle.com. Our site has a number of features that you might find helpful.
Home Page — The landing page on our site provides you with a list of recent additions to the site’s content. In many cases, these additions are new events we are planning, but in other cases they are simply information that you may find useful or interesting. The “normal” sequence on the home page is to show the most recently added events first, but we generally override this to show upcoming events at the top of the page.
Event Calendar — Go straight to our Calendar to see all of our upcoming events arranged in chronological order. The default view is to show a month at a time in a normal calendar format, but there are other options available at the top of the page, and you can click on any event to get more information, including a map showing where the event will be held. Also note a small red and white icon in the bottom right that will allow you to download our event calendar to your calendar on your computer.
RSS News Feed — If you use any kind of RSS reader, then you will want to subscribe to our News Feed, since this way you will be notified of new events and other information as soon as it is added to the site.
Welcome, Club, Contacts, Scholarship and Links — All of these other pages have more static, but still useful, information about various facets of our club, so you may wish to visit these pages too from time to time.
The U-M Alumni Association
This newsletter is published by the University of Michigan Club of Seattle, which is an affiliate of the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan. All of our club’s operating funds come from a portion of the Alumni Association dues paid by local members, so if you’re not already a member, we invite you to join! You will automatically become a member of your local club when you join AAUM.
